config/loader.json

Path: switch/renpy-loader/config/loader.json. The loader writes it atomically, like the controller files, when you change something on the Layout page or close How to play the first time.

Field	Values	Meaning
`library_layout`	`"row"`, `"grid"`, `"cinematic"`	The library layout. Default `row`
`backgrounds`	bool	Game art behind the Cinematic layout and the details page. `true` unless set to `false`
`accent`	`"#rrggbb"`	The accent colour. Default pink `#ff5fa8`
`accent_hue`	int, 0–359	The knob’s position on the custom hue strip. A custom accent within 25° of the error red’s hue shows a warning
`help_seen`	bool	`true` once How to play was shown, so it does not open by itself again

These settings live in their own file, not in the controller profiles, because the controller parser rejects unknown keys.

Delete the file to get the defaults back, and How to play on the next start.
