Controls in a game, the virtual cursor, the Switch keyboard, saves, HOME and sleep, and what happens with links.
In a game, your buttons go through rpynx’s own mapping engine and a bridge into Ren’Py. Ren’Py’s own SDL controller support is turned off, so every press arrives once, with Nintendo’s button names.
- Default controls What each button does in a game, and how the bridge passes it to Ren'Py.
- Cursor and touch The virtual mouse cursor on the right stick, and the touchscreen.
- Typing text How the Switch keyboard opens for a game's text field, and which buttons do what.
- Saves, HOME and sleep Where saves go, what survives an update or a delete, and what happens on HOME, sleep and quit.
- Links and folders What happens when a game tries to open a website or a folder on the computer.
- Power saver Cap games at 30 fps to keep the console cooler, for every game or for one.
