Compatibility
Which Ren'Py versions run, what the statuses mean, which games were tested, and the known limits.
rpynx runs Ren’Py 8.5.3 with Python 3.12. Other versions run only as far as 8.5.3 can load them.
- Ren'Py 8 and 7 Ren'Py 8 games run as they are. Ren'Py 7 games need their scripts recompiled for Python 3, or decompiled first.
- Statuses and test runs What experimental, unsupported and verified mean, which games were tested, and what has been checked on a real Switch.
- Performance issues What makes a game heavy on the Switch, how the loader marks it, and what you can do.
- Known limitations What does not work, or works with limits, in the current build.
